By using Triple Counter, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the service on behalf of a Discord server or community, you represent that you have authority to bind that community to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
Triple Counter provides Discord account verification, automatic role assignment, verification logging, and a moderation dashboard. Verification is completed through Discord OAuth2. The service is provided for legitimate community safety and access-control purposes.
2. Eligibility and Discord rules
You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Developer Terms, and all applicable laws. You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement in your jurisdiction. You may not use Triple Counter to circumvent Discord restrictions, obtain unauthorized access, collect Discord credentials, or evade a ban or platform enforcement action.
Triple Counter is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.
3. Server administrator responsibilities
If you configure Triple Counter for a server, you are responsible for:
- Holding the necessary Discord permissions and authority to install and configure the bot;
- Choosing appropriate verification channels, roles, and retention settings;
- Ensuring the Triple Counter bot role is positioned above the verified role and has the required permissions;
- Informing members about verification, the data described in the Privacy Policy, and any community rules associated with access;
- Using verification logs and member information only for legitimate moderation, safety, and community administration.
4. Authorized access
Dashboard access is limited to Discord users whose current server permissions authorize it. You must not share dashboard access, signed verification links, sessions, or server-specific logs outside the authorized moderation team. Verification links are unique to one account and one server and may not be transferred.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use Triple Counter to harass, identify, track, or discriminate against individuals across unrelated servers;
- Attempt to probe, scan, overload, bypass, or disrupt the service, its rate limits, authentication, or access controls;
- Access another server's logs, configuration, or verification data without authorization;
- Reverse engineer or misuse the service to retrieve Discord tokens, secrets, or personal data;
- Use the service to verify bots or automated accounts as a means of evading server protections;
- Use the service in a way that violates Discord policy or applicable law.
6. Verification outcomes
Triple Counter confirms a Discord account identity and applies a configured role when it can. Verification completion is not a guarantee of membership, access to any channel, or continued server participation. Server administrators retain full control over roles, access rules, and membership decisions.
Role assignment can fail because of missing bot permissions, role hierarchy, deleted roles, Discord API availability, or a member leaving the server. These outcomes are recorded and surfaced where possible, but Triple Counter is not responsible for a role that a server administrator has misconfigured.
7. Logs and retention
Verification events are retained according to the server's configured retention period. Raw network records used for anti-alt enforcement are not subject to that log-retention window and are retained until the member requests full account deletion. Server administrators are responsible for communicating this policy and responding to member requests concerning their server-scoped records. Account deletion through Triple Counter removes your login profile, memberships, verification events, role jobs, audit entries attributable to you, and all raw network records associated with your Discord account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Triple Counter available and reliable, but the service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, impose fair-use limits, or perform maintenance. We may also suspend access where we reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent abuse, protect users, or comply with law.
The service depends on Discord's platform and APIs. We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or API limitations originating from Discord or other third parties.
9. Intellectual property
Triple Counter's name, logo, interface, software, and documentation are owned by or licensed to the service operator. These terms do not grant you ownership of the service or permission to use its branding except to refer accurately to the service. Discord and the Discord logo are trademarks of Discord Inc. You retain ownership of your community content and server configuration.
10. Termination
You may stop using Triple Counter at any time. A server administrator can remove the bot or reset configuration. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated, if the service is misused, or if continuing access would create legal, security, or operational risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will survive.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Triple Counter does not guarantee that verification will prevent every unwanted user, spam account, or security incident.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Triple Counter and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of access, or business interruption arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Triple Counter and its operators from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, your server configuration, or your violation of another person's rights.
14. Governing terms
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of the deployed Triple Counter service, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised through the support options at triplecounter.xyz/support.
